How Nelori Works

From upload to delivery in five steps. See how our vetted network, smart routing, and print-ready technology work together to deliver quality art prints you can sell with confidence.

Overview

Built for artists who demand quality

Generic print-on-demand platforms prioritize scale over quality, leaving artists to navigate inconsistent results and disappointed customers. Nelori takes a different approach. Every order flows through our curated network of vetted art print specialists, backed by technology that ensures your work looks exceptional on paper.

Here's exactly how it works, from the moment you upload a file to the moment your buyer receives their print.

The Five-Step Process

1

Upload & Instant Enhance

Drag your image into Nelori. Within seconds, our Instant Enhance technology analyzes and optimizes your file for print without overwriting your original. We apply non-destructive upscaling, tone balancing, and sharpening calibrated specifically for physical media.

What happens behind the scenes:
  • Original file preserved in cloud storage with encrypted backup
  • Print-optimized version created using advanced image processing
  • Color profile converted to industry-standard ICC specifications
  • Metadata analyzed for optimal paper and size recommendations
2

Printability Analysis

Our Printability Score evaluates your image quality against specific print sizes and paper types. Unlike generic platforms that let you print anything at any size, we tell you which dimensions will produce gallery-quality results and which won't make the cut.

Scoring factors:
  • Resolution at target print size (minimum 300 DPI threshold)
  • Tonal range and dynamic contrast for selected paper type
  • Detail preservation after size scaling
  • Color gamut compatibility with archival inks

Result: Clear recommendations on which sizes will look stunning and which to avoid. No guesswork, no expensive test prints.

3

Catalog Creation & Smart Pricing

Generate your shoppable catalog in minutes. Each listing includes the print options you approve, accurate ETAs based on current network capacity, and pricing you control. Our Smart Price Lock gives buyers a 15-minute guaranteed quote while you maintain full margin flexibility.

Your catalog includes:
  • Branded storefront (custom domain on Pro plans)
  • Size and paper selections with visual previews
  • Dynamic pricing that respects your margins
  • QR codes and shareable links for any sales channel
  • Real-time inventory status from network printers
4

Intelligent Network Routing

When a buyer places an order, our routing algorithm selects the optimal printer from our vetted network. Unlike platforms that let you blindly choose from hundreds of unknown suppliers, we handle partner selection based on location, paper availability, current capacity, and proven quality standards.

Routing factors:
  • Geographic proximity to delivery address (faster shipping, lower carbon footprint)
  • Paper stock availability for selected substrate
  • Current production capacity and turnaround reliability
  • Historical quality scores for this paper and size combination
  • Artist preferences and previous successful partnerships

The system prioritizes quality and reliability over raw speed, ensuring consistent results every time.

5

Quality Fulfillment & Delivery

Your selected network printer receives the print-ready file with technical specifications, produces the print using archival materials and calibrated equipment, and ships directly to your buyer with full tracking. You and your customer both receive updates at every stage.

Quality assurance:
  • All printers use ICC-profiled workflows for color accuracy
  • Archival-grade papers and fade-resistant inks (100+ year lightfastness)
  • Professional packaging with rigid mailers or tubes
  • Tracking provided for all shipments
  • Reprint guarantee if output doesn't meet our standards

Typical timeline: 2-5 business days production + 3-7 days shipping (US domestic). You see Accurate ETA estimates before the order is placed.

Technology That Makes It Work

Our platform combines automated print preparation with intelligent routing to eliminate the trial-and-error typical of generic POD services.

Instant Enhance

Non-destructive image optimization calibrated for print. Applies upscaling, tonal correction, and sharpening while preserving your original file. No manual editing required.

Printability Score

Size-dependent quality prediction using resolution analysis, tonal range evaluation, and paper compatibility assessment. Know what will look great before you commit.

Smart Price Lock

15-minute guaranteed quotes based on live network capacity and current material costs. Transparent pricing with margin guardrails you control.

Accurate ETA

Delivery estimates calculated from printer capacity data and carrier performance history. We only show "Arrives by" dates when confidence is high, otherwise an honest range.

Network Routing

Algorithm-driven printer selection optimizing for quality, proximity, capacity, and material availability. You don't choose from a list of unknowns; we route to verified partners.

Catalog Analytics

Track views, quote requests, and conversions per listing. Understand what's working so you can share smarter and sell faster.

Why Our Network Matters

The difference between Nelori and generic POD isn't just software. It's the quality and accountability of the printers we partner with.

Vetted, Not Volume

Platforms like Gelato and Printify offer access to hundreds or thousands of print suppliers globally. The problem: no quality vetting, inconsistent results, and when something goes wrong, you're left to manage supplier issues yourself.

Nelori takes the opposite approach. We build long-term relationships with a curated network of art print specialists who meet strict standards for equipment, materials, color accuracy, and craft. Fewer partners, higher standards, consistent quality.

What "Vetted" Means

Every printer in our network is evaluated on:

  • Equipment: Professional-grade large-format printers with ICC profile support
  • Materials: Archival papers, fade-resistant inks, museum-quality substrates
  • Color management: Calibrated workflows using industry-standard profiles
  • Experience: Demonstrated expertise in fine art and photography printing
  • Reliability: Proven turnaround consistency and professional communication

We test sample prints, review equipment specs, and verify their approach to quality control before approval. Once in the network, performance is monitored continuously.

You Get the Quality, We Handle the Accountability

When a print doesn't meet our standards, we manage the reprint or refund process directly. You never deal with supplier excuses or logistics. Your reputation with your buyers stays intact because we stand behind every order.

Common Questions

How long does the entire process take?

Upload and print preparation happen instantly. Once an order is placed, typical timeline is 2-5 business days for production plus 3-7 days for shipping (US domestic). You'll see accurate estimates before finalizing any order.

Do I have to use Instant Enhance?

No. Instant Enhance is optional and non-destructive. Your original file is always preserved. If you prefer to upload pre-optimized files, you can skip enhancement and proceed directly to printability analysis.

Can I choose which printer fulfills my order?

Orders route automatically to the best available printer in our network based on quality, location, and capacity. This ensures consistency without requiring you to research and vet print shops yourself. If you have a preferred printer you'd like us to consider for the network, you can recommend them via our Printer Network page.

What if a print arrives damaged or incorrect?

We stand behind every print. If quality doesn't meet our standards or the print arrives damaged, contact us within 30 days and we'll arrange a reprint or refund. You don't deal with the printer directly; we manage the resolution process.

How do you ensure color accuracy?

All network printers use ICC-profiled workflows, calibrated equipment, and archival inks. We recommend papers that preserve your image's tonal range and contrast. While we can't guarantee identical color to your monitor (screen RGB vs print CMYK is inherently different), our process minimizes surprises and maintains consistency across reprints.

Is there an API for custom integrations?

Yes. Pro+ and Gallery plans include API access for custom workflows, automated order submission, and catalog synchronization. Documentation is available after signup.
