Different technology, different purpose
The print industry is experiencing a technology revolution. AI-powered software optimizes printer operations, cuts costs, and automates workflows. Those innovations help print shops run efficiently. They do not, however, solve the artist's problem.
Artists need different tools: quality prediction, file optimization, vetting intelligence, and accountability guarantees. Nelori applies AI to artist success, not operational efficiency. We build technology that helps creators sell with confidence, knowing quality is handled.
Our technology stack serves one purpose: eliminate risk and complexity for artists selling museum-quality prints.
AI tools built for creators
Each feature addresses a specific artist pain point: file preparation complexity, quality uncertainty, pricing volatility, and routing guesswork.
Instant Enhance
Upload any file and get print-optimized output in seconds. No Photoshop expertise required. Our AI analyzes resolution, sharpness, color space, and compression, then applies non-destructive enhancements specifically tuned for art print reproduction.
From upload to print-ready: under 10 seconds.
Printability Score
See exactly how your file will perform at each print size before listing. Our quality prediction engine evaluates resolution density, edge clarity, noise levels, and detail retention, then scores output quality from A+ to C.
Know before you sell if quality will deliver.
Smart Price Lock
Get guaranteed pricing for 15 minutes on every quote. No volatility, no surprise cost changes, no checkout friction. Our system analyzes network capacity, material availability, and shipping conditions to lock stable prices buyers can trust.
Zero price surprises, ever.
Smart Routing
Every order automatically routes to the optimal printer in our vetted network based on current capacity, material expertise, location, and specialization. You never choose manually. We handle printer selection invisibly.
Right printer, right time, every order.
Accurate ETA
Delivery estimates based on real-time printer capacity and carrier performance data, not generic assumptions. We track production queues and regional shipping patterns to give buyers honest timelines they can rely on.
Promise what you can deliver, deliver what you promise.
Quality Intelligence
Our vetting system evaluates printer equipment, materials, ICC profiles, experience, and sample output before network admission. Technology flags issues, but human experts make final quality calls. AI-assisted, expert-validated.
Automated vetting, human accountability.
Technology explained
Behind each feature is a combination of machine learning models, print domain expertise, and quality control systems. Here is how the technology actually works.
Instant Enhance: Print Optimization Pipeline
When you upload a file, our system runs a multi-stage analysis: resolution check, color space conversion (sRGB → Adobe RGB for print), sharpness evaluation using edge detection algorithms, and compression artifact detection. Based on results, we apply targeted enhancements: selective sharpening for soft edges, noise reduction for high-ISO captures, and color gamut mapping to maximize print reproduction accuracy.
All processing is non-destructive. Your original file remains untouched in secure cloud storage. The enhanced version is used only for print production, ensuring you always retain creative control.
Printability Score: Quality Prediction Model
Our scoring engine calculates effective resolution density (pixels per inch at target print size), evaluates detail retention through frequency domain analysis, and predicts perceived sharpness using MTF (Modulation Transfer Function) curves. The model was trained on thousands of print QA results from vetted network partners, learning which file characteristics correlate with A+ gallery-quality output versus C acceptable-but-flawed prints.
Scores are size-dependent. A file might score A+ at 11×14 but B at 24×36 if resolution density drops below archival standards. This prevents artists from accidentally listing sizes that will disappoint buyers.
Smart Price Lock: Stability Guarantee System
Print production costs fluctuate based on material availability, printer capacity, and shipping conditions. Rather than pass volatility to artists and buyers, we absorb short-term variance. Our pricing engine monitors network inventory levels, carrier rate changes, and production queue depth in real-time. When you generate a quote, we lock that price for 15 minutes regardless of underlying cost shifts during checkout.
This eliminates the frustrating "price changed" experience common on marketplace platforms. Buyers trust the price they see. Artists avoid cart abandonment. Nelori handles the risk.
Smart Routing: Automated Printer Selection
Every order triggers a routing algorithm that evaluates: (1) which printers in our network are qualified for the specific material and size, (2) current capacity and production queue depth, (3) geographic proximity to shipping destination, (4) specialization match (photography vs illustration vs fine art), and (5) historical performance metrics. The system ranks options and automatically selects the optimal printer.
Artists never see this complexity. Orders route invisibly, production starts immediately, and tracking goes live within hours. The entire printer selection process is automated, but every printer was manually vetted upfront for quality.
Accurate ETA: Capacity-Aware Delivery Prediction
Generic POD platforms show static estimates like "ships in 3 business days" regardless of actual production load. Nelori integrates with printer production systems to monitor real-time queue depth. If a printer is running at 90% capacity, we adjust estimates accordingly. We also track carrier performance by region, accounting for seasonal delays and route-specific slowdowns.
The result: delivery estimates accurate within 1-2 days 95% of the time. Buyers plan around reliable timelines. Artists avoid angry "where is my order" messages. Transparency builds trust.
How Nelori's tech stack compares
Print technology comes in different flavors. Understanding the differences helps clarify why Nelori's approach serves artists better than operational efficiency software or marketplace algorithms.
Technology Focus Comparison
Artist success tools: Printability Score, Instant Enhance, quality vetting, smart routing. Built to help creators sell with confidence.
Printer operations efficiency: AI estimators for quote speed, workflow automation, cost reduction. Built to help print shops run faster.
Discovery algorithms: Product ranking, search optimization, marketplace fees. Built to maximize platform transaction volume.
The key distinction: Gelato-style platforms help print shops quote faster and run more efficiently. That is great for commercial printers, but it does not solve the artist's problem—finding vetted quality and avoiding accountability gaps when prints fail. Nelori's technology serves a different purpose entirely.
We are not competing with operational efficiency software. We are solving different problems for different people. In fact, our vetted printer partners might use Gelato's software to run their facilities while simultaneously fulfilling Nelori orders. The technologies are complementary, not competitive.
Technology roadmap
Our current feature set addresses core artist pain points. The roadmap extends these capabilities into advanced territory: predictive quality, embedded commerce, and collector engagement tools.
Advanced File Intelligence
Next-generation Printability Score that not only predicts quality at each size but recommends optimal cropping, suggests paper types based on image characteristics (landscapes → baryta, portraits → matte), and flags potential reproduction issues before listing. Think of it as a print expert reviewing every file automatically.
Embeddable Artist Storefronts
Artists will be able to embed Nelori's print shop directly on their website via lightweight widget or API integration. Fully branded to the artist, collectors browse catalogs, configure prints, and checkout without leaving the artist's site. Nelori handles fulfillment invisibly. Artist owns the customer relationship, we provide the infrastructure.
Collector Engagement Suite
Tools for artists to build long-term collector relationships: edition tracking (sold out alerts, numbered certificates), collector CRM (track purchases, send updates), and personalized print recommendations based on past buys. Platforms like Gelato focus on printer efficiency. We focus on artist-collector relationship depth.
Marketplace Analytics
Competitive pricing intelligence similar to Gelato's benchmarking, but tailored for artists. See how similar works are priced across marketplaces, track demand trends for specific styles or subjects, and get data-driven recommendations for sizing and material selection. Turn guesswork into strategy.
The vision: Nelori becomes the operating system for artists selling physical work. Technology that eliminates complexity, guarantees quality, and maximizes income.
